Biofuels, paraffin and solvents: consistent development of primary product segments Consistently developed technologies, emphasis on the development of know-how and a series of optimization initiatives are the foundations of the Company’s development towards a bio-refinery. The company’s paraffin activity bases on company-owned paraffin hydro-refining installation, the only and the most innovative in this part of Europe. State of the art technological solutions and high-quality raw material guarantee the safety and quality of products manufactured. Forecasts for the paraffin sector anticipate the growth in sales of high-margin products and entry into new market segments. The innovative petroleum solvent production installation launched in 2007 provides low-sulfur and low-aromatic petroleum solvents, which compete with the currently marketed global products in terms of boiling point.

Heavy Fuel Oil Competence – Bukowiec Energy Resources LLC

The Company has petroleum processing installations located in the Trzebinia and Jedlicze Plants. The distillates obtained are highest quality finished products, as well as intermediates valued on the market, which are further processed in specialist installations. The most extensive experience in the processing of demanding domestic crude oils, the safe and stable operation of our installations and the licenses held only confirm the Company’s competences in this area.

Oil regeneration Regeneration of processed oils towards high quality, deep-refined base oils, applied in the production of lubricant oils, is one of the elements of our business activity. We are the only company in Poland to operate a specialist technological line allowing for fully regenerating processed / waste oils towards base oils in a safe manner. Processed / waste oils are regenerated on one of the most innovative installations in Europe and the only one of this kind in the country – the hydrogen refining installation – fulfilling the requirements of both domestic and European legislation. We are capable of regenerating 80,000 tons of processed / waste oils a year.

Technical infrastructure Our strategy assumes further upgrading and implementation of new solutions in ancillary infrastructure (ecology and environment protection, power industry, railway infrastructure and handling terminals, designed product pipeline) in cooperation with specialist Bukowiec Energy Resources areas.

In the area of ancillary services, the most important project concerns the construction of a new-generation wastewater treatment plant. Our current wastewater treatment plant was designed for petroleum processing installations. However, the activity of the company has developed to include both petroleum processing and the production of petroleum derivatives. An essential area of our activity is the production of methyl esters and pharmaceutical glycerin. Industrial wastewater generated through this production require other treatment methods, compared to “classic” refinery sewage. Our strategic plans assume the construction of a new or the upgrading of the current CHP plant.
